Abstract

The appellant, Jeremiah Johnson @ Mosha, was arraigned at the District Court of Moshi, at Moshi, in Criminal Case No. 445 of 2019 with two counts; Unnatural Offence contrary to section 154 (1) (a) and Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm Contrary to section 241, both of the Penal Code, Cap 16, R.E. 2002 (now R.E. 2019). He was found guilt and convicted on both counts. He was sentenced to 30 years and 3 years in jail, respectively. The sentences were to run concurrently. His first appeal before the High Court of Tanzania, at Moshi, in Criminal Appeal No. 44 of 2019, was not successful hence the appeal before the Court.
